Connecting DePaul Students to the Professional World of Design Networking

Art Board is a mobile app created by three students in the spring of 2018 during an Introduction to Human-Computer Interaction class.

Our target users are graphic design students who attend DePaul University. These users would most likely be between the age of 18-25.

Our domain of interest is networking events in the Chicagoland area that pertain to the field of Graphic Design. Our mission was to connect graphic design student at DePaul University, Chicago, to the professional networking design world.

Through peer interviews, concept exploration, creating personas and prototyping, Art Board was born.

Low Fidelity Prototyping and Usability Testing

Finalized our six design concepts: community, awareness, networking, organization and management. Used a low fidelity prototype to highlight interactions between users while using a testing-script.

High Fidelity Prototype

Developed a higher fidelity prototype with the following functions: creating an account & signing in, chatting with professionals, other students, or teachers, attending design events based on interests and purchasing tickets for these events, adding specific friends to your network
